Prettau Mining Museum

The mine of Prettau had its heyday about 600 years ago, the copper mined there was known for its smoothness.

The tunnel, which was driven into the rock at that time, is now a museum. The entrance to the heart of the tunnel is by mine train.

Today, the mine also houses a climate gallery, where the air is free of dust, allergens, and pollen. In this area of the mine there are special air-hygienic conditions which can bring relief to people with respiratory diseases.
