General weather situation
High-altitude winds will be blowing from the south-west, bringing moist and unstable air masses and Saharan dust towards the Alps.
There will be a mix of sunshine and clouds throughout the day, Saharan dust causes hazy conditions. Thunderstorms are possible as early as the morning, whilst in the afternoon and especially during the evening thunderstorms will become more widespread as a cold front moves through.

Saturday will start off sunny, apart from a few residual clouds. During the day, it will be mostly clear. Foehn wind will blow in the northern valleys. On Sunday, once the local low clouds have cleared, the weather will be very sunny. Sunny and warm weather is forecast for Monday. Isolated thunderstorms are possible in the afternoon.Tuesday will also see sunshine in the morning. During the hottest part of the day, showers – some of which may be thunderstorms – are possible.
