From the parking area in Santa Maddalena at the end of the Casies Valley you hike further up the valley to the Rotmooshof. Follow the path n. 49 to the hut Messner Hütte (1660m, refreshment stop) and Kradorfer Alm (1704m, refreshment stop) to Oberbergalm (1975m, refreshment stop). From there, the path becomes steeper and leads over lush mountain meadows up to the Gsiser Törl.

You can descend in western direction via the Weißbach Alm (2112m, no possibility to stop for refreshments), continue on the road downhill to the Acherle Alm (1867m, no possibility to stop for refreshments) and finally via trail nr. 53 back to St. Magdalena.
